meet the author
i started writing in eighth grade. it wasn’t a dream or a decision, it just naturally happened. putting feelings on paper was always as obvious as breathing to me.
almost ten years ago, i began sharing my work on instagram. i posted consistently for years. with no expectations, i just showed up. over time, my words were reaching more and more people, as i knew they should, they were reshared widely by readers and people i grew up admiring which was exactly the validation i needed at that time.
somewhere along the way, who i used to be needed to grow into who i was meant to be. so i allowed myself that space, i gave myself time to breathe in new cities, i found myself trying new things for the first time, i allowed myself to grow, so that my writings could grow with me.
now, years later, i am stepping into a version of me that has a clearer mindset and more confidence in her words. this present me, she knows better. maybe less than future me but definitely more than the past me.
i am not back, i didn't go anywhere, i just have decided to show up again and i am fortunate that universe chose to write this book through me, scared brave, a part of me is now ready to be part of other people's life, this book was meant for its reader as much it was ever meant for mE
